All children trapped in a cave in Thailand were rescued after 17 days of suffering... Watch

Weather of Arabia - The Thai authorities announced today that the divers succeeded in extracting 12 children and their coach who were stuck for 17 days in a cave in northern Thailand after it was flooded .

The Thai Navy said a final group of four children and their coach were released on Tuesday, ending the rescue operation .

The children, a football team, and their coach were trapped deep in a cave on June 23 after heavy rains flooded the cave and blocked its exits . The ages of the children ranged from 11 to 17 years, and they were on a trip with the trainer .

Divers found them completely cut off from the outside world for 9 days. Attempts to get them out raced against time, fearing that the weather conditions would deteriorate further .

90 divers participated in the rescue operation; 40 from Thailand and 50 from other countries, these divers encountered the children in the dark, water-filled corridors of the cave towards the exit . This was a painstaking process even for the professional divers who extracted the children in batches

The rescue operation required walking in the water, climbing, and then diving using a rope tied outside, and each child was wearing a full breathing mask, unlike professional divers, and he was accompanied by two divers carrying a breathing cylinder for him .
